i was shooting in big sur and santa barbara this week-- a lot of driving i know. photographed two really different but equally amazing estates. one by mary ann schicketanz of carver+schicketanz and the other by interior decorator tim clarke. mary ann gave us a preview of another project on the same property, and it was a real treat to see project-in-progress with the architect, especially when the project seems to have no budget and all function and aesthetics. i was also very happy to work with tim clarke as i've admired his work for a long time, having seen his projects in many editorials. that shoot seemed to move quickly as the weather was great and i think our styles kinda meshed well. both shoots are for editorials that, unfortunately, won't come out until next year. but i love them so much i want to show them asap. will see about posting some outtakes or collages if possible.
